•CLASS DESCRIPTION•
This sewing class thoroughly covers how to adjust the length of your garments (shirt, pants, dress) to your fitting, and does not require special sewing tools. This is a must-learn skill if you want to look good in clothes you own. Feel free to bring your own pants, dress, shirts, etc that need length adjustment.
Take advantage of the chance to learn in a beautiful studio that will, for sure, stimulate your creativity.

**Garment that needs adjustment (optional)
* Highly recommended to bring your own sewing machine. Machines differ in functions across different makes and models, so it is best to familiarized with one machine that you know you will be using frequently. Contact Kye (info@umiquellc.com) to inquire about machine rental.
** We will provide a piece to practice, but you have the option to jump straight into hemming your own garment.

•INSTRUCTOR BIO•
Kye Harford started his sewing journey during the pandemic in 2020 and established a brand based in Hilo with "sustainable creation" as the core concept. He currently focuses on collaborating with local artists, on- and off-island, to create primarily fashion items. His other work includes garment alterations and repairs as well as custom work.
Bonus: as Kye is a native Japanese speaker, born in Japan and raised in Okinawa, you have the chance to also learn Japanese during the workshops if you're up for it.
